![]() click here to return to the index Saturday, July 24, 2004![]() Looks like one of those band poses doesn't it! Today we were mainly spending time a Port Rush, but not before breakfast and breakfast (this morning looking at how you can't keep a good man down and some of the usual small group time). The trip to Port Rush was less eventful than the trip to Giant's Causeway this time taking a train rather than the dreaded bus. The day was spent going around all the different things that Port Rush had to offer from Barry's which is Ireland's biggest amusment park (which isn't saying much) where you could go on rides at a rather expensive price or waste your money on the league of 2p and 10p machines that were around. There was also the Nature Centre which was an aquarium where not only could you see Nemo and other Finding Nemo characters but you could also make masks, look at ugly crabs and making puffin blow darts (which were rather impressive). There was also a range of shops and with a '£1 tack' competition on the cards was a perfect place to get tacky souviners. Finally if that didn't hold all the excitment that you could want there was a lovely chip shop (where Frank Bruno himself had eaten at) an ice cream parlour and a beach (which was really rather windy and with the sea crahing about all over the place not that inviting!). After singing Funky Chicken, Crazy Moose, Everywhere we Go and I like Bananas we got on the train back to Coleraine where we went back to the house for some free time in the games room or watching Finding Nemo. The evening Bruce Almighty session was about saying what you mean to God, and about how pray can be about asking for stuff that actually matters to you. IOGBILI invovled a lot of youghurt and the late night movie was Who Framed Roger Rabbit (a classic in my mind) and then as everyone else went to bed the leaders did some cleaning up ready for the church who would be using the room the next day. Sleep PLEASE!
