I wonder if she knew; Mary as she held her child in her arms. When nine months previously an angel had visited her. When she could have lost everything, but still chose to say yes to God. I wonder if she knew about the baby she carried inside her for nine months. As she mothered her child, did she know he’d been sent to die?

Well hello. My laptop is no longer in use! I am currently typing on the house computer that the family have been kind enough to let me use. A new computer will be on the way some time in January when I'm going to be looking out for a bargin during the January sales. The price of having my power socket re-resined in between a three piece chip was too high (around £300) and the chance of it actually working too low (20%). Taking this into account I decided to say goodbye. So now laptop (which will mean less posts until I get a new PC).

Youtwork has nearly finished for the year. The Christmas celebration on Friday is coming up which I am REALLY looking forward to. Was slightly sceptical at first but after rehersal yesterday afternoon was amazed at how awesome the message is! We are so evangelistic! It's grand! On the other hand went to a service which wasn't very good last night. This 'youth of the nation' style service didn't seem very youth friendly or challenging either. The message was lost under a blanket of hymns played on guitar (didn't work!) and 'interesting' drama pieces from other churches. Shame really because there was an audience there. Maybe the focussing on individuals was sacrificed to put on a big event - something we could all do with learning from.

This week I'm doing a lot of tying up loose ends and I'm beginning to prepare for 2005 (odd trying to do it without a PC). It's tidying up day today, I'm also going swyming with Josh, meeting with Aussie Mel and going for a drink at the Devoncourt tonight to admire the Christmas lights. Helping Abi sort out her garage on Wednesday (sure that'll be fun), have the aformentioned Christmas Celebration Friday and on Sunday have a Christmas Meditation and Prayer in the morning followed by a Carol Service (for which I'm doing a reading - hurrah!) in the afternoon. All in all a very good week. Feels like the end of term now, looking forward to going back home on the 21st and seeing my family and having Christmas! Anyway onto the tidying! God Bless...
Comments:
Sorry for the bad spelling and stuff - getting used to a new keyboard (especially a desktop one having used a laptop one for so many years) is very difficult. BTW the quote for today is the first verse of the poem I wrote for the evangelistic talk I did with the Discovery and Elevate Christmas Party. Hope that you like it, I'll be publishing the rest closer towards Christmas along with some bible readings and a copy of the talk I did. God Bless...
