Merry Christmas, may you have a most wonderous day and remember the reason behind the season. God Bless...

Loving Father, help us to remember the birth
of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels,
the gladness of the shepherds,
and the worship of the wise men.

Close the door of hate and
open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and
good desires with every greeting.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing
which Christ brings, and teach us to
be merry with clear hearts.

May the Christmas morning make us happy
to be Thy children, and the Christmas evening
bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen!

(Robet Louis Stevenson)

Merry Christmas Mr G

A late Merry Christmas Andy. I hope you had a most awesome day (like the RLS prayer) ;)

Yes I like the prayer as well. They used it in the nine lessons and carols at Willoughby and I thought it was quite fantastic. Upon my return I searched for 'Christmas Prayers' in google and managed to find it. It's Robert Louis Stevenson by the way - sorry for my spelling mistake! God Bless...
