I'm back in Loughborough for a week of holiday which is quite fantastic. Got church this morning and then after a run and some lunch I'm going to get going on my new project Toothpaste (an e-mag version of bigfattoothbrush.co.uk).

The biggest bit of news from the past few days is that I've began my training for the 10K next week! I've done some 2-3 mile runs to get warmed up and I'm hopefully going to do another 5K today just to get used to the distance it actually will be!

Yesterday was quite a good day of travelling. Before we left I went and had breakfast at Beckets with Josh, Jamie, Katie and Andrea which was really nice (though I don't think I'll ever have such a big breakfast again). Then the coach journey which took quite a long time but was actually quite cool. Got talking to this guy called Andy (how weird is that) who studied computer science at Leicester and is about to go and work in London. We spoke about footie, religion and society which was very cool and quite enlightening!

I got into Loughborough about 8.30pm in the end (which wasn't too bad) had a drink at the pub oppostie the bus stop with mum and dad before going back for dinner and then watching some of 'America's Finest' including CSI and Law and Order.

Anyway I'm going to get going with toothpaste...

What can wash away our sins?
What can make us whole again?
Nothing but the blood
Nothing but the blood of Jesus

It's been another busy, busy week! Bigfattoothbrush update is coming along OK but I'm going to have to spend a bit more time on it if I'm going to get it done by the 1st June! (I'll have to see how much I can fit in today). Also today I've got to get my next monthly update done for aguilder.co.uk and I've got Supergang this evening.

Luckily it's half term next week which gives me some time to crash out and see the family plus prepare for the 10km that I'm running in Exmouth on the 6th June (the day before my Birthday). I don't know how I'm going to do but my aim is to simply finish it!

The last few days have been quite busy. Monday and Tuesday I was in school, mainly advertising SPREE, which is a holiday SWYM are running with Crusaders. I think we could have a lot of year 7's coming along which would be really cool.

Yesterday we had cluster in the morning and went down to the beach for a worship session, in the afternoon I went to the cricket for an hour or so to see Devon's bowling being hit around by some incredible Yorkshire batting (some nice 6's too!). In the afternoon I had a meeting with Peter Eastwood and Judy about my future and it all seems to be pretty much the same doing around 10 hours a week next year - which is cool.

Anyway I'm going to get on with all the stuff I'm meant to be doing and I'm looking at going out and doing a run in a minute to get ready for this 10km.

I get knocked down - but I get up again (Not ChumbaWumba but 2 Corithians 4 v 9!)

It's a lovely sunny sunday here in Exmouth and to celebrate I'm on the computer teaching Pete from church how to use HTML and stuff. He's on the laptop trying it out while I sit here typing this!

Yesterday was a really good day! I woke up after a really needed nights sleep and went around to the Egglestons house after a bit of breakfast and playing some FIFA. David was back for the weekend and I went to town with him and Katie and we went down the beach for an ice cream and to see Josh at his new workplace (the model railway).

We then sat down and watched the Grand Prix qualifying as well as the FA Cup final (it was sad to see Man U win!) and then we had a bite to eat before doing some "dance matting" followed by a good session of Lethal Weapon watching!

Today I've been to church doing the 3rd Youth Emmaus - Jesus his life and ministry. It was really good fun and seeing so many young people coming to the church on a Sunday has become a real encouragement to me and to others - but more importantly the kids seem to be grasping who God is which is quite fantastic!

Aint God Marvellous!

It's the weekend and I managed to make it! Most of my spring cleaning has been done (hurrah) and there's just a few website updates to be sorting out.

Yesterday was an interesting day - in the morning we did some Ireland planning for our Summer Holiday away with the young people this summer (http://www.exmouth-ice.co.uk) and we were looking at trips and games and sessions and stuff but at the end of the day I think we've come up with a very good plan!

Also had some lessons which were really draining and did Yo Club and Powerpack last night which was OK (got to have a good chat with some of the YO lot but the Powerpack lot were being especially noisey!

Today of course is the FA Cup final and David is back for a weekend so I'm going to visit them. Just going to play a little fifa 2004 first to get me in the mood for football.

Cummon neither team!!

Friday, May 21, 2004

I've made it to Friday! Just doing the last bits of my late spring cleaning before I go into school today. Yesterday was a good day - I was able to get a lot done both website wise and physical cleaning wise! Bigfattoothbrush.co.uk is having a HUGE June update with some very slight design changes and loads of new content including some articles on why P0rn sucks, Blogging, Ship of Fools online church, Are you a pirate and Sharing Jesus in a Post Modern Culture.

Yesterday was also Supergang, which I'm really enjoying leading at the moment. I've now got to know all the kids and I've made some slight changes to make it more active for them. We did the parable of the cream bun yesterday, where a young boy gave everything he had just so he could get hold of the cream bun - but it was worth it because the cream bun was the best in the world! We also did some recapping and anthor big game in the church (this time Danish Rounders/Football).

Last night I sat and watched the postman, which was a bit of a bizzare film. The only reason I carried on wathcing it was because of the lack of anything else on TV! Anyway got to go and finish off these bits of tidying and clean myself up for school!

Remember - God's worth absolutely everything!

Thursday, May 20, 2004

It's feeling very nearly like summer so only a few days to get the 'spring cleaning' done! Trying to get everything sorted out - and that's not just my physical stuff (though it does need a good sort) but my web-pages are getting treatment and my hard drive will be getting a clean later on as well!

I put bigfattoothbrush.co.uk on holiday until 1st June 2004 as we edit it all behind the scenes! It's looking very plush at the moment with some new flash buttons and banners and an improved layout for those viewing at 800x600 (why? everyone knows 1024x768 is the best resolution!).

Yesterday's cluster was good, had cooked breakfast, talked and prayed which was really good. Next week we're looking through our folders and stuff so that we can get closer to finishing the SWYM course (which is good!). Not too much left to go an assingment on youth culture and pentecostalism plus timesheets, critical incidents, personal review thingy and that's it!

Yesterday evening we had a youth meeting where basically our conclusion was that the church as a whole (that's local, UK and world) needs to gather behind the young people and recognise them as the church of TODAY! They need to know that we all have a responsibility to help these young people learn and grow - we all can have a part to play in these yong people's lives so just do it!

Anyway enough of the ranting! I'm going to have a cup of tea and get back to the cleaning!

Change a young persons life - spend time with them and be real to them!

Wednesday, May 19, 2004

WOW! What a weekend! I have been recovering for the last few days from it (after a lack of sleep and very tired feet and legs!). On the Friday we finally arrived in Loughborough at 11.30pm having left at 5.30pm (a LOT longer than it should take), and we promptly got down to telling everyone the in-house rules, before sticking Happy Gilmore on (which was averagely funny) and then playing table football Exmouth V's Paignton till 3am in the morning with the boys - needless to say Exmouth won!

Saturday we left for the park about 8.30am having gone out to collect water and have a McDonalds breakfast, we left for Alton Towers which was a suprisingly smooth journey. The park itself was packed and the weather lovely. We went round doing Air, Log Flume, River Rapids, 3D Cinema, Pinball Wizard, Nemesis and Oblivion! Funny thing was that God seemed to be speaking to everyone using Oblivion so we're using it for our next service. The concert was fantastic, Siani weren't really my cup of tea but RSJ was really awesome (though not nearly long enough) and Delirious became one of my favourite bands again putting in a kickass live set! Getting back at around 11pm we again watched a video (meet the parents) and table football was played until the table broke(!).

Sunday we went across to Emmanuel for church which was a really awesome service especially the Dave Morris singing which was highly impressive (plans to kidnap him and bring him to Devon are underway! We had some lasagne which had been kindly made for us by the infusion housegroup out on the church lawn and then piled back into the minibus for the return trip (only a four hour journey this time).

Monday I had a day off and slept most of the time before going to the Egglestons to watch Smallville and have something to eat. Tuesday I was in school doing lessons and stuff, they were quite good though I'm starting to feel that we really need a half term! Today I've got cluster and I'm cooking so I really should go and get doing it!

DON'T LOOK DOWN!

Friday, May 14, 2004

Really excited about the weekend away to Alton Towers now! Just about to pack everything that I need and have some breakfast before going into school (probably going to cycle again). We're leaving at around 5.30pm from Exmouth and we'll be staying in Loughborough. Hopefully the weekend will be a great chance for some border line guys and girls to make a fuller commitment to Christ.

Wednesday's cluster was ok! The sharing and praying stuff was really good especially as we'd been a bit slack on it for a while but the strategy bit was a drag and didn't really seem to fit any purposefor me (plus people in my group were talking to each other so I didn't really get what was going on).

Yesterday was a bit more chilled as I finished some preperation work I was doing and I went into town to grab some bits and bobs. I also created a special update for Colin's 40th Birthday for the SWYMing website which should go online today and is VERY good! Last night we had Supergang which went really well. We had a good laugh and learn't about how great we are and how amazing God made us and how much he loves us!

Anyway better go and get on with things otherwise I'm not going to have time to fit everything I need to in!

Remember just how much God loves you!

Just a quick post because I've got to rush out and get going ready for another one of the self worth lessons that the ICE team is invovled with. I've just been sorting out details for the awesome weekend away to Alton Towers that we're having at the end of the week (food, accomadation and stuff!). Really looking forward to that now, going to do some video and camera stuff there for a special Bigfattoothbrush report.

Yesterday was an OK day... lessons were fine and at lunchtime we played Pro Jax with the year 7's which they really liked and so we're going to do a tournament with them today. Went round to the Egglestons to watch Smallville - good episode about the whole Luther past - and to have some dinner as well.

Anway better go and get walking else I'll never get there...

Don't live to live an ordinary life!

Had another good day (or as my dad would say an 8/10!). X-Stream:Youth Emmaus was really good. 10 young people in church was totally different and the fact that they all had a really good time also made it seem a bit different from the norm! The whole projecter with powerpoints and video and stuff worked really well and having that as a backdrop added a new dimesion to the session.

Been playing my new computer game -FIFA 2004 not 100% sold on it yet - nice gameplay but pretty ugly customisation to be quite honest. I'm going to have to install some demo of another game or something so I can re-create my beloved Andy's Heroes once again!

This evening had another service at Teignmouth with Simon, which was OK, nice to see so many young people coming together and did a bit of a quizy thing using trigger happy TV clips - worked OK.

Anyway very tired now so I'm going to catch some sleep.

God Bless.

Today I've been getting ready for the youth emmaus thingy. Done a video presentation and some powerpoint stuff for the session and gone through all the activites that we've got to do! Just sorted out a slightly bigger venue too (which is a bonus) because the young people were so responsive last night when we mentioned it at powerpack.

On thursday I went to the emergency dentist where I had the inside of my tooth scraped out and a temporary filling put in without any pain killing injection (ow!). It still hurts a little but at least now I can eat! I also did supergang where we continued looking at creation (because so many were away last week). Next week we're looking at the prodical son.

Friday was spent in school, lessons wern't too bad though the kids were pretty noisy. It was good to see them all having had a few days away having not been quite so well (with the tooth and the ankle thing).

Today I'm, going round to the Egglestons - David's back for a day from his pursuits thingy so may go round town then have an evening watching a movie or something. Just remembered I've also got to buy sausages!!!

Have a good day!

Today I have been learning how to save someone's live - otherwise known as a first aid course! We had a guy called Leslie come and teach us all that we needed to know for emergency first aid and we got these really cool booklets and stuff as well. Only thing now is to beat up another member of the ICE Team so I can try this stuff out...

Sorted nearly all the final details for the Alton Towers weekend out with Becky today it's going to be a real blast, all the monies for tickets has gone through as well so I can buy the tickets tomorrow (after I've had my trip into Exeter to visit the Emergency Dentist).

Got a church meeting thing tonight - which could be fun and then I think I'm going to hit the sack. All that CPR has made me very tired!

You can save someone's life too! Visit St. Johns Ambulance website now!!

Waaaaaaaahh! Today I'm having another 'interesting' day! This morning we had a lesson in school with the year 11's on self worth which went pretty well (the drama that we made up on the spot was pretty interesting). The whole tooth thing has been bugging me today and I've got an 'emergency' appointment for Thursday morning at some point from 9am (when I have to get there) before 2pm.

Did some lessons and stuff before coming home and watching the third part of Back to the Future. Did some leaflets for Alton Towers and for the youth emmaus thing that starts on Sunday. Now watching CSI and Law and Order on Channel 5 before going to bed. Going to have a good dosage of paracetamol as well! Also going to load up some of the website stuff I've been doing - it's all looking good.

"Though there's pain in the offering - blessed be your name!"

What a couple of days!! On Friday I went to the hospital after my ankle was giving me some jip, and the doctor has put me on physiotherepy. Because it was still hurting quite a bit I had the rest of the day at home (mainly sleeping on the sofa!) and did a bit of work on the new look http://www.aguilder.co.uk/me which has gone orange. It will soon be the normal aguilder.co.uk page but I've just got to edit the title bar.

Saturday David Eggleston left to go to his work experience thing in Bideford so I went over to say cherrio. Also sorted out all the finances for the Alton Towers trip which seem to be balencing up perfectly (which is good!). Once all the cheques and stuff have cleared I can get the tickets so that we can rock! Saturday evening went round to David Hutter's (Nadine, Katie, Julia, Matt and Abi were also in attendance) where we watched Groundhog day - great film!

Sunday was another eventful day as after our ice team service at Littleham whilst chomping on a biscuit I broke my tooth (ouch!), and so I'm currently in a bit of pain! I went to the casualty and they said I'll be able to ring the emergency dentist place from Tuesday (cos of the bank holiday). I belive the next few days will be paracetamol enduced! Yesterday afternoon I watched Back to the future part II which I enjoyed a lot (much to my suprise), I also slept a bit and watched the snooker (which is a great battle - cummon Dott!).

Today I'm going to do a bit of editing this morning and then I'm going to do something with Josh and Ruth. Have a good day.

Don't eat hard German Biscuits!
