The boring nature of the election might just be sucking the life out of me :( Cake and Chocolate on the other hand don't!

So if you haven't already realised the Election is happening next week! Shockingly the polls haven't changed that much, and all the parties are trying to get those crucial votes. I have an idea for them - stop being so boring!! Tony Blair's 'passionate' speach on the news was about as passionate as I am about the mound of washing sat upon the bede in my bathroom! Michael Howard is using words to try and hurt 'Tony' (or 'Tone' as I prefer to call him) but we all know from school that if you want to hurt someone you have to use sticks and stones (wow education did have it's uses!). Charles Kennedy is kind of like the 12 year old who thinks that he's ready to run daddy's business - His ideas sound great but nobody's really too sure how they'd work in practice.

It's with all this running around in my mind that I come to suggest Pop Prime Minister (or the 'X' Factor (the x being the vote tick!))! Every night candidates come on and do something which politicians have to. There could be a jeering round, a cheering round, a bottom kissing round, a making crazy laws round, a stuffing the normal people round, a lying round (make that the first, everyone seems to be able to do it!) and finally a finger pointing to blame someone else round! It would be amazing, young people would watch to see Tony and Michael having a game of lie tennis, whilst the UKIP candiate looses out in the bottom kissing round after an 'incident' with the EU!

It is boring though! I mean no wonder we have voter apathy when every night BBC devotes far too much time to filling us in about how Tony didn't wear a tie, Michael Howard raised his voice in a speach, and Charley is Scottish! I don't care. I'd like some news! Some action. Where's the Prescot punch? I crave excitment. But it doesn't look like it shall happen, so instead I shall look elsewhere and that will most probably bwe towards the biographies section of my book collection, oh Johnny Cash you did lead an extroadinary life...

What's your favourite song? Why not tell me by posting a comment today?!

"Hello, Hello, Hello, How Low" (Nirvana, Smells Like Teen Spirit). I think I might be going slightly mad this morning. I am blaming the cat who decided to mieow at me at 6am. I think he was worried that I'd missed my paper round. I tried to explain to him that I didn't have to go on a Saturday, though in the end I realised he wanted to be fed. So much for a Saturday lie in!

Got some awesome music on my PC at the moment! With Windows Media Player 10 and MSN Music Manager installed I've been downloading some of my favourites that I don't have! This has included Nirvana Nevermind, Feeder Polythene and Thee Unstrung Psycho. I still have some credit left and am wondering what to download next. Why not suggest something to me in the comments section?! I do love downloading music, because you can just download the individual tracks from the album you like, and for 69p a track it's not too bad!

Been very busy with thebrix & thebigbrixbash this week. Donations have started coming in and I'm just about to look into paypal for online donations at the website (though it all looks very confusing!). Also trying to sort out online radio licences which is a bit of a mare but keeping me on my toes. I'm also still doing all my usual youth stuff which is going really good - Supergang on Thursday was a real laugh and last nights Discovery (though I really didn't feel up for it) was incredible yet again!

Got some exciting things coming up over the next week or so, a meeting with a project manager (to organise me and sort out what on earth I'm doing), meeting up with an old friend (an ex-training co-ordinator) to talk about getting him invovled with the project, a classical music concert at Glenorcy on Wednesday, Supergang Thursday, Yo & Discovery Friday, Parents staying over the weekend and preaching on Sunday evening at Christchurch! Should keep me going!

Anyway, I'd better get on with thebigbrixbash website which I'm currently putting together. It's looking very sweet at the moment but there is so much information to get on, it's taking me an age. Keep good music alive and God Bless...

I'm at that stage where I have already begun to eat, drink, sleep and breath thebrix!

Radio rpojects, who'd have them?! I have read more 'agreements' in detail than I ever want to have to again. Everyone seems to have them, the service provider, the multiple lisence providers you have to go through, the software people. Oh my! However a needed break is about to come up (hence the shortness of today's post) with a visit to A La Ronde (a National Trust property which is really close to my house). The best thing is I'm going for free having fixed a lady's computer who works there! The sun is shining as well (though it aint half cold) so I'm very much looking forward to it. I aim to post in more detail and reply to all your lovely comments tommorrow. Oh and if anyone can find a cheaper price than £8.95each for 50 printed t-shirts leave a comment (challenge there for you all!). If I use the company you recommend I'll give you some CD's I've got lying around my desk! You can't beat that! God Bless...

Busy bĭz'ē Adjective 1.Engaged in activity, as work; occupied. 2. Sustaining much activity

Wow, I am soooooooo busy, the thought that is keeping me going is that if I get it all done now I can have a bit of relaxation time for the weekend (wouldn't that be nice!). Started back at Supergang yesterday, had a new member which was really good (and they were very well behaved as well which made it better), we looked at Jesus turning Water into Wine using cola, and dressed up as different wedding characters which was all a good laugh (and hopefully some good remembering Jesus bits as well!).

Wednesday saw my return to Cluster which was really relaxed and nice. Kirsty was leading in the absence of Matt and she did a stellar job! Afterwards went down to the concreate pier in Beer with Nick, Emma, Kirtsy and Helen and played the throw rocks game which is very exciting indeed.

Got loads of work done (and still more to do). I'm speaking at the 'Cube' lunchtime club in school today for Sarah and Helen, so that's all very exciting. I'm covering 'Why did Jesus die' which I'm really enthused about!

Been downloading lots of music over the past few days. Garbage - why do you love me?, Feeder - Feeling the moment (and all b-sides), Delirious - Happy Song (live), and Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. Been getting used to MSN Music, Tesco Downloads and Echo Shop which has all been very exciting. Loving my music at the moment especially the Murmer B-Side for Feeling a moment which is up there with the best of their tracks. Talking Feeder B-Sides the campaign for getting Shatter to be the next single is picking up steam, go over the website and check it out by clicking the banner at the end of the post.

Anyhow I'm going to drink my decaf tea and have a scone or something! Have a really good day, God Bless...

If it was a criminal offense to be tired, then I should be locked up and the key thrown away!

Oh my! My eyes! My brain! Every muscle in my body! I think it has all gone on strike! Very glad that I took the option of not doing Salsa dancing last night. Well the pace is picking up in life again, aided by the morning routine that I have now slipped into - wake up, papers, wash n clean, breakfast, e-mail, work. Which is quite nice really. The only problem is when you're having late nights and early mornings... at that stage it seems that the combination is not exactly sensible. Just another great thing about being a youth worker I suppose!

Finally sorted the church website out. Every page is 'bloggered' to make for easy editing by the webmaster. It uses six blogs eacg with just a single post so that the text can be edited without any need for coding. I think it looks pretty good but you can visit Brixington Church and decide for yourself. Now got to sort out the youth program for the next couple of weeks. We had lots of people step forward which for me was highly encouraging. It gives me lots of confidence in things running smoothly once I've gone.

Today as well as listening the Monkees, I've also got the 'Live It, Tell It' DVD for Sunday school to put together, a couple of services in May to start thinking about, and some updates for bigfattoothbrush.co.uk to write to put online for the end of the week - loads of new reviews (hurrah!)!! Then this evening we have the termly youth meeting with Katie, Geraint, Viv, Judy and myself - should be really good. AS the music moves on the Semisonic, I also shall move on and get on with some work. God Bless...

So I'm not watching the 'extended coverage' of the Royal wedding! There are much more exciting things to be done!

Oh my goodness, I am so tired! Last night Sarah, Anne and Emma came around and we watched the Hound of the Baskervilles and had some party food! It was a most enjoyable evening but with them leaving well clear of 11pm and having been up since 5am doing all sorts I was jolly shattered! The all sorts which happened during the day included numerous phone calls with people, sorting out the-brix with the council, trying to sort out the manor gardens stage, and attempting to get a lost modem driver for a PC where it doesn't believe it exists and the update cannot be made because it's the modem so the PC can't connect to the internet. Anyhow I have got some software that should be able to suss out what type of modem it is giving me the means to download the driver here and transfer it over to them! How Exciting! NOT!

Also trying to sort out Sunday school at the moment. I'm aiming to get 12 guest speakers to come in over the next 12 weeks, in one sense to get the young people used to having other people leading and in another to allow some people from within the church to experience leading. Using the Live It, Tell It course from Discovery (Agape's youth division) which is quite fantastic.

Been listening to loads of music this week (as well as the usual amount of Feeder!). Got some great new albums to review for bigfattoothbrush.co.uk including Jeff Anderson's 'Seamless', KJ-52's 'Behind the Musik', tobyMac's 'Diverse City', Rebecca St. James' 'Gold', and Newsboys' 'Devotion'. I'm so impressed with the latest batch of CD's, it has really inspired me and they came at just the right time! Anyhow got someone coming around to collect a bike, a CD to burn with the driver program on, and a trip into town to fix the problamatic computer. Have a good day yourself. God bless...

I rocked, they rocked, if fact it was a rocking time!

WOW, what a busy couple of days! On Friday I travelled to Camberley on the coach and discovered the delight of journeying through London (not!). On the coach from Victoria however I did get to meet some most delightful people upon the national express coaches and a rather mardy newspaper seller, who didn't want to talk about any of the days big news stories - oh well!

On Saturday (yes the big day itself), Helen and I grabbed London Travel Cards and set off for a day in the city. After having met an American guy on the train to Waterloo we went to the tate modern which was superb! Bruce Nauman's Raw Materials was my reason for wanting to go, and I have to say it did not dissapoint! Crossing through walls of sound was a unique experience that I shall remember for a long time! If you get a chance to go before the 2nd of May take it, it's free and well worth going to!

In the afternoon after a spot of lunch at Tiger, Tiger, (Picadilly Circus) we went along to the Science Museum, we looked at the history of medicine which provided us with our amusing quote of the day (Better be chokt [choked] with English hemp, then poisoned with Indian Tabacco - from the old days when political correctness wasn't really around!).

The evening was most exciting with a racous concert at the Carling Brixton Academy! Kicking us off were Thee Unstrung, who I thought were great! My favourite track for them was a play on unchained melody (Melody, oh Melody, you were always f'ing chained!). There albyum comes out soon and if I have any kind of money I think it'll be a sound investment! The Departure were the other support band (kind of a mix of Sissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand), and while they got the crowd going I didn't think they were that amazing (the lead singer did make me laugh with his rather pathetic attempts at 'rocking'!

There was one group who we were waiting for however and that was the AWESOME FEEDER!! You thought I was bad before, I'm worse now! They came out and rocked, they really were fantastic. The crowd participation was also admirable, singing, dancing, a jumped up, lively and exciting atmosphere without people smacking into you every other beat! Pilgrim Soul live was a huge highlight for me, in the middle the band almost stopped as chants of 'F--E--E--D--E--R, F--E--E--D--E--R' rained out! The show was incredible and of course Buck Rodgers was played with great enthusiasm. The band had the audience on the edge as they played the bassline of the song for well over a minute before kicking into it with great effect!

The journey back was pleasant, a bus to Claphanm Junction, a train to ascot and then another to Camberley. I was rather tired. Just like I am now! Unfortunatly there is no rest for me today as Sophie and Molly have come around. Should be good fun! Have a good day yourself. God Bless...
